| i agree , secondfield , that's a very suspicious vehicle , and if it was backed up to my place , i'd be putting up the jedi lead shields, and knocking on the doors |

| Yeah what are we looking at? It appears to be a comms van of some sort. The pipe carrier on top is standard. Mostly to do with phone networks and installation. |

| maybe you looked only at the first pic , Deano? when the second pic is zoomed up , you can see what appear to be electrical/ aerial connections , going from the three (quite strange , i think) identical long objects , and the fourth one doesn't look like your standard PVC pipe carrier either . i think it looks like one of those killer machines they use to liquidate people who know too much |

Congrats smash, you get a choccy fish for that one. When the front off the van is zoomed in on you can see a 'BT' logo underneath the primer finish of the van. How many british telecom vans are there in NZ?. The 'roofrack' is running lengthwise instead of across the van with no perpindicular braces across it as you would expect for something that should carry a load. There is a queer little orange 'light' pointing forward along the road on the drivers side of it. Indeed, it is parked 100m away from the residence of peaceful, poltically aware and active citizens of new zealand. I think theres some hippies too somewhere in the street....
So a refurbished (and poorly painted) british telecom van with blacked out windows and interior, parked where it is for a good week or so now. GCSB / SIS / Police tech support dept must be a bit low on dosh. Spent too much on having it kitted out in the UK so one of the lads had to go to the warehouse for some spraycans of primer to give it a paintjob.
Someone ought to knock on the door and offer the poor brainwashed bugger inside a cup of tea and refreshing discussion on the real state of affairs on this planet. Im keen to buy it if the owners reading this, you can keep the gear in the back, ill put in a bed and gas stove so I can use it for camping, fishing, diving etc. Probably just what the bloke in the back of it would rather be doing right now....... |

I think BT sponsored the English team during the world cup. They may have been helping with the television transmissions to New Zealand. It may be just a rep vehicle. Now the world cups over its probably got no work.
Or it could be a 'trainee' agent clocking up some hours, monitoring the evil terrorist freedom fighter known as secondfield... :D |
