depleted uranium is deadly in anti-tank munitions , because it is extremely dense and burns extremely hot on impact . around 300 metric tonnes , at least , have been expended in iraq , following smaller quantities being spread over the balkans and afghanistan. "depleted" uranium is 60% as radioactive as the full-strength product when it starts fuelling nuclear reactors. it has a half-life of 4 billion years . a significant quantity pulverises and vaporises , when deployed in warfare , entering the atmosphere.

this crime ranks on a par with chem spraying

the company responsible (to use the word advisedly) for the sale of this by-product of the nuclear industry (which , please don't forget , has very recently had the endorsement of the once-great peoples's-man Bob Hawke) is called "Starmet Corporation" . no mention of this name occurs in any of the otherwise comprehensive articles decrying the practice of unloading a 4,500,000,000 year legacy of poison on the whole planet , in return for a strategic gain of sweet nothing , except for *****Star****met Corporation

if you try to research Starmet by google , you will get two names , the same surname , a new york address and .....nothing

the beneficiaries of this crime are anonymous . should we wish them joy of their profits?
