Yet another Al-Qaeda release yawn!!!
In the latest video, Zawahiri said,
Quote:
"Bush, oh failure and liar, why don't you be courageous for once and confront your people and tell them the truth about your losses in Iraq and Afghanistan."
Are the troop losses exaggerated? Probably! There are all sorts of numbers doing the rounds on the net. I've seen people post U.S troop losses at thirty thousand for example and in one case seventy thousand was suggested. The true figures are easily hidden in the system with injured soldiers being moved to hospitals in Kuwait, Germany etc.
Some of the figures suggested for soldier desertion rates are preposterously high in some cases but it looks like there are several hundred at least in Canada. The Pentagon said at the end of 2004 more than 5,500 servicemen have deserted since the war started in Iraq, so that number would be considerably bigger today.
Continuing with Zawahiri's message...
Quote:
In the new message, he also spoke about Darfur and attacked Pope Benedict XVI.
He urged Muslims to fight a holy war in the troubled Sudanese region of Darfur against "crusaders" masked as United Nations troops.
He also called Pope Benedict XVI a "charlatan" because of his remarks on Islam, Reuters reported.
"This charlatan accused Islam of being incompatible with rationality while forgetting that his own Christianity is unacceptable to a sensible mind," he said.
Would be interesting if they ever brought up any of the 911 conspiracies in one of their videos.
Does this Al-qaeda group even exist at all? It seems everybody on the terror bandwagon is using it's name to further their agendas.

A good question Deano,

Here's an interesting segment of an article from the What Really Happened website, the article is a bit of an anti-Israel rant, but they make some pertinent points, especially with regard to bin Laden's statement of denial:
Quote:
Bin Laden and 9/11
We were told that the reason bin Laden attacked the USA was because he hates our "freedom" and "democracy". The Muslims were "medieval" and they wanted to destroy us because they envied our wealth, were still bitter about the Crusades, and were offended by Britney Spears shaking her tits and ass all over the place!
But bin Laden strongly denied any role in the attacks and suggested that Zionists orchestrated the 9-11 attacks. The BBC published bin Laden's statement of denial in which he said:
"I was not involved in the September 11 attacks in the United States nor did I have knowledge of the attacks. There exists a government within a government within the United States. The United States should try to trace the perpetrators of these attacks within itself; to the people who want to make the present century a century of conflict between Islam and Christianity. That secret government must be asked as to who carried out the attacks. ... The American system is totally in control of the Jews, whose first priority is Israel, not the United States."
You never heard that quote on your nightly newscast did you?
[A] number of intelligence officials have raised questions about Osama bin Laden's capabilities. "This guy sits in a cave in Afghanistan and he's running this operation?" one C.I.A. official asked. "It's so huge. He couldn't have done it alone." A senior military officer told me that because of the visas and other documentation needed to infiltrate team members into the United States a major foreign intelligence service might also have been involved.
Bin Laden is not named as the perpetrator of 9/11 by the FBI:
When asked why there is no mention of 9/11 on Bin Laden’s Most Wanted web page, [Rex Tomb, Chief of Investigative Publicity for the FBI] said, “The reason why 9/11 is not mentioned on Usama Bin Laden’s Most Wanted page is because the FBI has no hard evidence connecting Bin Laden to 9/11.”
To date, the only shred of “evidence” to be uncovered against bin Laden is a barely audible fuzzy amateur video that the Pentagon just happened to find "lying around" in Afghanistan. How very convenient, and how very fake.
I do remember Bin Laden say early on that he wasn't involved but I have never seen that speech, thanks John. Where he says the perpetrators want conflict between Islam and Christianity makes me think again of the agenda of freemason Albert Pike.

Is it me or are these guys just acting like a couple of alpha male lions fighting for domances in the pride.
All parties are trying to use logic to justify some thing/s which are completely unlogical to the outside observer eg. My God was here first, His God is mean, My God is better because hes nice thats why we must kill you, My God said we must have cooler outfits than you thats why we are better.
I wonder some times are these guys( leaders ) for real or am I just stuck watching some bad mini-series from ABC

I agree totally
and whats more is that every war I know of today is being faught in the name of GOD... wtf.
we all know its in the name of "BIG" bisuness.
A good example of the big bisuness in Iraq is of mr Dick Cheneys companies
trucks in a video called The War Tapes, It is a huge eye opener for the scepticle over the corruptness of this War Of Terror on the east.(even thaugh it is not pro islam)
The biggest supporters are to make the biggest profit. It seems they planned it all too well and prepared many bisuness' in many feilds, from feeding the army to supplying it with weopons to clothing and even to the point where the soldiers were prepped to get the oil out as fast as possible for these same companies , It makes me sick and I havent even tried to find that out, I bet if someone looked into itthey would find many more money pits they are digging out of that desert. I dont agree with many ofthe things I know of Islam and Easternism but I do hope they kick the yankees ass all the way home.
Now if you were "Evil" and your name was georgey of dick would you want a clean in and out war???
or would you want a botched f**k up that prolongs the pumping of money into your pocket.... Who say's the US government wants this war to stop, I think as long as they can make money they will hold off a withdrawl.
The world was a safer place with Sadam and Bin laden (and our petrol was 50 cents cheaper per litre)

I've seen that vid and read about the war profitering, It's just a fact of life someone always makes a buck whether it be in good times or bad, thats just part of business and being in business. Depending on how you look at it someone always gets screwed when someone else makes a dollar.
The problem is people with ridge dogma's that can't see past there own noses, feeling they have the right to force there views on others and in some cases with violence. That goes for the bush goverment, Al-qaeda, albert pike and/or any of the other ridged nut bag that thinks they have the real truth.
