perfect timing... right when nz is once again looking into nuclear power.
sad thing is.. it would most likely be the australians like this..that would own and operate them. sort of like the rest of the infrastructure. crikey.

Interesting article didnt hear anything about that one on the news did you?
One fears any major accident at the aussie reactor would send radiation clouds east this way as the wind patterns tend to drift at times.
My personal opinion is that the world is going to become more earthquake prone in the coming years due to a number of factors including massive displacement of water melting at the ice caps. Any country building nuclear reactors at this time or in the future is to put it bluntly 'crazy'. |

The truth is that we have had at least 4 'accidents' recently which have embarassed our Federal government. :D Unfortunately at least 1 worker was contaminated although the contamination was apparently within 'acceptable limits' whatever that means.
Strangely enough we don't want nuclear power either. However it seems we are expected to do as we are told. |
