And take a leaf out of a fellow Wellingtonions "activism book"
Before I continue this rant .....it applies to lazy old ME TOO!!
Some dude here in Wellington painted up dozens (if not more) of thin plywood signs with....
WWW.OILCRASH.ORG painted on them,
and nailed them to as many creative and clever places as he could put them, without vandalising anything seriously, or invading or using private property.
It worked, it made me look at the site.
And he got local media coverage.
We need about, 100 WWW.MYSTERIOUSNEWZEALAND.CO.NZ signs to make a small ripple
500 to make several ripples
And 1000 to make a splash
Look for places where tons of cars pass by, pedestrians, buses....damn it you name it.....be creative and focussed
We live in an information saturated world
Your average human can only take in soundbytes of info at a time....
But if the same info goes in several or more times, such as a wesite address/URL they can more readily be provoked into taking a look....and the possibility of them taking an interest is greatly increased....
Or maybe Im just fantasizing and dreaming...... |

We will need slightly wider plywood than the oilcrash guy, or paint the words smaller.
Wider plywood is the best bet,
Oh and yes, the signs he made did get removed, and he persisted in putting them up...... |

Yeah, the responsibility is all on the shoulders of those who do it, and there are responsible, and irresponsible ways of going about it.
The idea is to not invoke anybodys anger or wrath, or damage anything whilst doing it.
Im printing up some A4 flyers to stick on all the places that people usually stick them, this is harmless, and provided its not stuck to anything that isnt already heavily postered it should be fine |

Roofdoggy, do you find your chembuster very effective?
Mine is temperamental, works great for a few weeks, then needs to be pulled down, cooled of for a few days and re-deployed to keep it active |

can't say for sure as only had the big one runnin for a week or so now. but when we had action in auckland I was out on tuesday mornin and AKL was ringed by big brown/grey dog turd shaped clouds and the only others looked insanely sylph-ish ( if ya believe all that )
anyway i resorted to aluminium cos copper seems like it's worth more than gold and i just cant afford. have a miniture one with copper pipes about a meter tall. 6 pipes. seems to work ok but not real strong.
The bigger boy has only 4 ali pipes cos i buggered the resin pour but its got 1 single point crystal that is quite large. and 3 standard 2inch ish single points. i know it's not the way and don't reccomend this way but it was grunty as on tuesday and i was wagin war on these @$#&!!* clouds. was quite amazing to see. and im gonna do a 6 pipe aliminium standard to compare.
so yeah not much to see up this way today or yesterday but thats when they hit you guys i guess. seems to be a patern of a few days on and a few days off...
anyway. will keep studying the busters and givin feedback. and givin feedback.
ALSO ----- any aucklanders noticed how many private choppers now go joy riding over the suburbs here? way more than i ever remembered... |

Well the main chopper activity over Wellington seems to me to be "usual"
sorry, cant report anything exciting there.
I did one heavysprayday down in Marlborough have a black chopper fly overhead, the CB was doing a fine job that day, and this chopper looked nothing like any Ive ever seen, it was either a homebuilt job, or some sort of UAV. |
