We spotted a trail over Auckland this morning at 7.10am, soon after it had been laid. The direction was the same as previous sightings, South-North, my assumption is that it was going South to North. It had the often seen "droplet" effect across the bottom.

I have uploaded two photos to the gallery; one when it was first seen and another an hour later.

It's ongoing. look up and expect to see a few planes. the sky is blue but clouds are travelling in fast from the west.

Then i saw it. a big white plane with a big red tail, missing the big white kangaroo.... got some shots of going over our house and then i run around the back to snap a few more and it's gone...

how strange. they must be fedding those clouds over the waitakeres???

Hi roofdoggy,

I've been outside doing some gardening and after having a quick look at your post had a look up at the skies. Talk about synchronicity....as I looked up there was a jet with a contrail behind it.

It was like others I've seen before- short and quickly dissipating but unlike those I've seen that remain as a continuous line in the sky that spread out over a couple of hours. That is the kind that I saw early this morning.

The contrail just now would have been from a commerical airliner going to the Airport. (In my opinion) It was very high and I was unable to determine which airline it could have been. Shortly after I saw another jet going South-North in the usual flight path seen which was lower with no contrail behind it. Possibly Qantas. Then soon after that another jet going West-East (which I don't see very often) at a lower height, again no contrail.

I have been watching the sky during the day where we have always seen the persistant trails but there has been nothing more or that kind.

I will post a photo of the commercial airline contrail shortly.

despite the dodgyness above, tis a lovely day for doing gardening...
it certainly wasn't Quantas i got shots of.. (can hear another jet now)
readin a web page the other day, (may have been here, i dont remember) but the person talked about the big white or silver planes with the red tail. Now the other day i was havin a ciggie break at work on our deck which looks over the fringe suburbs and to the waitakeres and i saw this plane comin in over the hills, could make out the red tail and thought it was Quantas. Then it began to climb (quite quickly) i guess over Mt albert way-ish. It climbed for quite a bit then levelled off and flew over just to the left and I could see know Kangaroo. it was definitely a solid red tail. This was before i read that page too and i was suspicious. cos planes just dont do that normally over auckland.

also had my laptop with me on my way to wellington on labour weekend and we were on the desert road and i was copping abit of flak from my mates about naughty planes dropping stuff on us, when my mate yells "look up there - those clouds are out of it."!!!. and sure enough I'd never seen clouds like that. we pulled into a gravel pit stop next to a petrol station to look.

I guess to explain it would be to imagine we were under water looking up at the surface and we could see hundreds of round bowls floating on the surface.????? or like haeps of beehives hanging from the sky.. had my web cam so started recording and got 2 or 3 minute long clips. but they are a over 100 MB each so ill try get some stills out of them...
the gas station attendant walked over to us and was suspicious and asked if we'd just stolen gas from the pump???? haha and drive 10 meters and stop?
and we pointed out the clouds and he said that "oh thats allways like that with the ?? southerly/S easterly? (I dont remember) but we were all weirded out by that. we'd all never seen them before and had just spent 10 mins staring at them, and he was "oh no, thats what its like.???
Anyone live down in the middle there that can clarify that? what have i been missing. I'd imagined flying saucers spinning in these huge bowls and then zapping out into space... then we got back in the car and left.

Were the clouds you saw anything like this? There are some links on the thread above to other sites with some more amazing examples. It would be good to see your photos also..or your video. There are some videos in the photo gallery of chemtrails around NZ. Melody (Administrator) can assist you here if need be to upload them.

There are a few airlines that have red tails that could be mistaken for Qantas. Info4 has posted information about flights and aircraft coming into NZ - you may wish to have a look at some. See here:

yes!!! Mammatus clouds is what they were after seeing those links.... have mixed down an emailable clip and sent to admin at this site. they look scary

ya im not so sure about the plane now u mention it but i did read somewhere that they were big either white/silver with red tail.
still don't look like quantas to me though and im still kinda suspect about those planes.
and just after i posted last time, good old norton advised me of an attempted hack on my little computer! i just bought this and would be highly annoyed if someone tied tried to hurt it.
