As I was driving to work one morning about a week ago I observed something very strange. I have hesitated to talk about is because I have been trying to make sense of it ever since I saw it.
It was a beautiful clear sunny day, clear blue sky with no clouds to be seen. I was in a long queue of slow moving cars on the North Western motorway heading towards the city and as I came round a bend onto a short straight my eye caught a plane in the sky ahead or perhaps it would be more correct to say part of a plane. I saw the fuselage and a wing my impression was that the sun was shining on that part of it. It seemed to be turning as the wing was slightly lower than the fuselage and it was flying relatively low. I dont recall seeing any markings on the plane but it was about the size of an Air NZ or Qantas plane and a silver-white colour. There was also another plane in the area, smaller, like an aero club type plane, and flying higher and in the opposite direction.
The larger plane was in sight for only about three or four seconds when it literally disappeared. To me it looked like it just went through the blue to the other side as you might imagine a ghost walking through a wall and then there was nothing at all. The other plane was clearly visible all the time and I thought nothing of it all until the plane disappeared. Watching it fly into and through the blue like that left me feeling curious and disbelieving and awestruck.
Has anyone else out there had a similar type of unexplainable experience? I would love to hear about it.
:?
I remembering seeing this sort of thing recently with an aircraft that seemed to disappear.
When I was driving home today I spotted an aircraft in the clear blue sky ahead of me. I could see it's shape and the right side of it gleamed white. After watching it for less than a minute it disappeared. I kept looking for it after that but it couldn't be seen.
It seems to me that this is probably a case of the aircraft going out of view because of the range and speed that it travels.

Hi Jean,
Whether what you saw was a true anomaly or a trick of the light, I can't say, however, you are not alone in observing an aircraft disappear, it's something of a worldwide phenomenon.
Here is an article on the Rense site from someone who purports to know all about the technology involved, Disappearing Aircraft - The Answer. The follow-up discussion is interesting also:
And here's one from Brenda Livingston on the Tracers site, "Winked Out": UFOs or High Tech Camouflage? They specialise in Chemtrails and associated phenomena:
