Here's an interesting one, I don't think I've ever seen a cloud like this - I'm sure I'd remember... :D



Mammatus Clouds are sagging pouch-like cloud structures and a rare example of clouds in sinking air, they typically develop on the underside of a thunderstorm's anvil.

Thanks for the link, jaygee, Dawn Sutton's pics don't look quite as dramatic as the one featured above, probably because the Illinois example was taken in circumstances where the lighting was more dramatic. In flat darkish conditions mammatus may well be overlooked...
