Do metors have color :?:

I saw an object moving rapidly across the sky the other day (Friday Night) viewed from our lounge. Only saw it for 1/2 sec at the most.
I am sure it had a very short tail and it seemed to be green to me

My partner thought it was white but if I had to guess I thought it was green :!:

Infact I am not sure it was a metor :?
