A case in point is the recent flu vaccine fiasco. What sort of 'game' has been played here. First, it was unsuitable because of a missing ingredient which, it was claimed, did not protect against one of the strains of flu virus; now it is quite safe. What has happened to make it 'safe'.? Why couldn't it be used in the first place? and WHY are being constantly exhorted each year to have a flu vaccine? SUBTLY suggesting that if we don't we will fall victim to the flu virus.
Another thing that is concerning is the bombardment coverage every night at peaktime tv showing in detail all the products (drugs) we 'need' to prevent or cure all manner of ailments. This form of advertising has been growing in intensity over the past 2-3 years and is another example of the power of suggestion to create fear in people.
