Slight breeze maybe but anything more than a 20 or 30 k wind is no good me thinks.
On another matter I was listening to a guy on a training course yesterday. He was from Auckland and he was admiring our rain wishing that up north had some. Apparently from what he was saying there hasnt been any decent rain up that way for months. He was practically saying there was a drought. Is this true ?

It isn't just up north either. I spotted this in the news yesterday...
"Nelson's sunniest and second-driest April on record could see hosing restrictions in May.
Nelson City Council operations and maintenance coordinator Geoff Ward said that at the rate the level of the Roding River was dropping, it could be about two or three weeks before alternate hosing day restrictions came into force."

More about unusual weather pattern in Northland
In the news today.....
Far North wineries are revelling in the 'vintage of a lifetime' due to the long dry summer creating superb quality grape yields....
"It's been an unusual season for us in the North but it has worked well in our favour. The long, slow ripening period helps to retain the vibrant flavours that make New Zealand wine so distinctive."
