According to the Statistics New Zealand site, during 2000 there were 43,700 international flights to and from New Zealand. Auckland was the main portal with 28,000.

These are the latest reported figures. I have emailed Statistics New Zealand requesting up-to-date statistic by airport. I will report here if I get a response.

These figures are staggering. With almost 120 international flights per day (2000) one would expect to be seeing far more CTs than we do. Then again maybe it's only a small percentage of jets that are leaving these persistent CT's, why one must ask :!: :!:

I receieved a reply from Statistics NZ who informed me they do not keep such statistics!!

I pointed out the facts and figures on flight arrivals and departures was located on thier site, I was informed that they only keep stats on passenger arrivals and departures and not international flights. The new figures will be out before mid year and suggested I should look at:
