If this wasn't such sad cultist news it would be extremely laughable (almost)! The word "feral" has already been used for a while now to describe humans - how far off is it before we see wild human herds being culled to "save the planet"? Surely a few hundred homeless non-contributing useless eaters wouldn't be missed for the sake of the "greater good"? To save our "green" communities ("blood" red was the colour to get us here - green means go!)! You'd be naive to think that this wasn't even a remote future possibility for a world that's been led very easily down that slippery slope for some time now. The believing flock will surely swell as everything that's happening right now is ramped up incrementally...

This article has it all - the bogus science to blind the masses, the usual potential job provision claim (for "indigenous Australians" this time) and the appeal to the pathetic national pride that TV-watching zombies seem to find so rousing... even "inoculating cattle to stop them burping"! Whaaaaa...???!!!

Have fun with this one if you can ('cos it's no laughing matter really)...

Kill a feral camel and claim a carbon credit, says Dr Tim Moore

  • Calls to cull Australia's 1.2m million wild camels
  • Beasts produce an average of one tonne of carbon
  • Plan to claim carbon credit for kills being considered

THE Federal Government is considering awarding carbon credits for getting rid of feral camels under an initiative to cut greenhouse gas emissions.

Although the Carbon Farming Initiative has yet to pass parliament, three proposals are undergoing formal assessment, including one to "manage" Australia's feral camel population.

The other two options include early burn-offs and inoculating cattle to stop them burping.

Tim Moore, the managing director of Adelaide-based Northwest Carbon who proposed the camel cull idea, said more than 1.2 million camels are roaming Australia's rangelands, covering Western Australia, the Northern Territory, South Australia and NSW.

Already considered a pest, the beasts which weight 45kg produce an average methane equivalent of one tonne of carbon dioxide a year, making them one of Australia's big emitters.

The animals produce the same carbon emissions equivalent to a 7000km long-haul flight.

In comparison a 35kg cow produces 0.8 tonnes while the average car emits four tonnes when driven over 20,000km.

"They live anywhere from 30 to 50 years in the wild, there's 1.2 million of them and that figure is doubling every nine years, so it's a huge problem," Dr Moore said.

Under his proposal, camels would be shot from helicopters or four-wheel drives, or mustered and then sent to an abattoir for either human or pet consumption.

He estimates that given their lifespan, every animal culled would save around 14 or 15 tonnes in abatement.

Dr Moore said one of the best things about the scheme is that it would be market driven, potentially living outside the troublesome political cycle.

He added the plan provided real scope to provide real jobs for indigenous Australians.

Dr Moore is confident the unusual proposal, which has already caught the attention of the British press, will get the go-ahead.

"We're a nation of innovators and we find innovative solutions to our challenges - this is just a classic example," he said.

Parliamentary Secretary for Climate Change Mark Dreyfus said the government was considering various proposals to reduce carbon pollution on the land, including Dr Moore's.

It will be waiting until the Domestic Offsets Integrity Committee reports back before making a final decision.

Legislation helping set up the Carbon Farming Initiative is due to go before the parliament in the next sitting, which starts on Monday.

File this under "Death Cult/Green Movement News"!

Oh no, I can hear a little Alex Jones voice sneering away in the background... "It's good to kill for mother nature. Death is good! We love to kill to save the planet. We must kill the carbon-producing useless eaters for the greater good... Ohhhh I lo-o-o-o-o-o-ve death...."

(Methinks they messed up the weight of the animals in that article too! A 35kg cow?!! That's one anorexic beast!)

Hehe! 8)

Gotta love this too, a little bit of doublespeak maybe just to throw more chaos out there...

"Dr Moore said one of the best things about the scheme is that it would be market driven, potentially living outside the troublesome political cycle."

And then 4 paragraphs later we get a shot of just how apolitical it is when the Parliamentary Secretary for Climate Change no less "said the government was considering various proposals to reduce carbon pollution on the land, including Dr Moore's."

Personally I think the most vomit-inducing thing is the fact that governments actually appoint "climate change" ministers when at least half the world's leading scientists know & say global warming is a scam and we have such damning events like climategate that just get run right over by this rolling agenda-that-must-be

And what do you think the poliTICian really means by reducing "carbon pollution on the land"? Are we not all carbon-based beings living on this land? #-o
