We hardly heard a peep out of NAStyA or anyone, and yet the fuzzing thing took up a sizable portion of the sky!!

If you can find a credible source with its dimensions I would be interested, my original guess was 1600km in size, one guy i talked with at length, who seemed to know his stuff told me it was 2750km in size, other estimates i have sifted thru say 33 miles across, one said 50 miles across. As you see the size is in question.

As I wrote earlier, NASA is interested in observing Comet C/2010 X1 (Elenin) with the space coronagraphs SOHO and STEREO. Not long ago I received a reply from Joseph B. Gurman to the effect that starting July 17 they will be running pointing tests on the space telescope STEREO-B. The spacecraft will be rotated as will be necessary to do in the future to observe the comet. If all the tests are successful, of which the STEREO team has no doubt, they will observe Comet Elenin from July 31 to August 12, two hours a day. The minimal distance (July 31 2011, 12:40 UT) between comet and spacecraft will be 7.4 million km (0.049 AU). Plans to observe the comet using SOHO with different fliters are also in the works.
At the moment the comet is not yet attainable photographically from our observatory. Observers near the equator can observe it longer, but unless the comet breaks up near perihelion, we will be able to observe it in all its glory starting the beginning of October. I hope the nucleus of the comet will survive and it will give us a beautiful view.
Isnt that a great thought the comet is heading in our direction and hes talking about the chance it might break up lol. Finally though we will be able to get some photos from Nasa who have been getting a bit of stick for not releasing footage.

I am more skeptical and cynical and bitter :lol: as every day goes by.

I think Jupiters aspects with earth have been plausibly linked to increased likelihood of earthquakes

Bad News from NASA: Proof That Comet Elenin Is Affecting Earth Wednesday, May 4, 2011

This is going to be the most extraordinary communication so fasten your seatbelts; we are in for a rough ride. I have known in my heart for months that I would have to make a communication like this but had no idea it would be this soon. Back in January, while investigating the underground city that is alleged to have been built under the new Denver Airport, reported on by the former governor Jesse Ventura, I put the puzzle together and came to the conclusion that a planetary event was in store for us in 2012.
Today I am presenting rock solid information; it does not get any better when NASA is your source. What you are about to read and see is happening. Last night, looking at a NASA mathematical model of comet Elenin, I found out that a large celestial body has already penetrated the solar system and is on course for a near and possibly horrific encounter with the earth in the fall of 2011. What we do not know is the size and mass of comet Elenin though I have no doubt that it is known by the authorities.
Elenin is presently being tracked as it goes through the asteroid belt on its way into the inner solar system. I am truly sorry to have to be the bearer of such grave and threatening news but the source, NASA, is impeccable. We have an incoming mass (what might possibly be a neutron star) coming in and it will do a hard turn around the sun like any comet would, crossing and coming in between Mercury and Venus before starting its journey back out. On its way out it will cross our bow, meaning it will pass very close to the earth and the earth will pass behind it, plowing into its tail.
In the video below you will see this explained graphically. What you will see with mathematical precision is that every time this celestial body comes into alignment with the earth and sun we have a huge earthquake. The last three alignments produced the Japanese 9.0 quake, the one in New Zealand and before that the one in Chile. On March 11th Elenin was much farther out. When the next alignment happens it will be devastatingly close. The main point to understand is that if Elenin was just a normal comet it would not have the mass to generate a gravity pull that would affect the earth when the earth swings around into alignment.
David Morrison, Astrobiology Senior Scientist at NASA, in an official communication on March 1st acknowledged no threat from Elenin. Ten days later Elenin came into alignment with the earth and the sun . . . and Japan was almost destroyed.
Morrison confirmed that Elenin’s perihelion (closest to the sun) is in early September 2011 at a distance from the sun of 40-45 million miles. He said it will be closest to the earth on about October 16, at a distance of about 21 million miles, but he believes there is no reason to think Elenin is any different from a normal comet. I wonder if he changed his mind after March 11th. He dismisses everything alarming as pure fiction.
This is the real deal though - that alignment did happen as we can clearly see from the NASA simulation. Now we have to live with increasing radiation spreading around the northern hemisphere. We know how easy it is for people in authority to cover up information and lie with a straight face. The Japanese government admitted it kept in secret at least 5000 radiation measurements and assessments after the nuclear event that struck the Fukushima Daiichi NPP in March. This was done in order to not induce panic in the population, a representative of the staff dealing with the nuclear emergency told ITAR-TASS.
We have to acknowledge and accept that there is a danger and a possibility that part of our civilization and the people in it will be lost. This is not a time to deny anything or a time to hold back the tears. I hope to God I am wrong but the evidence cannot be dismissed casually, though of course it will be. One picture is worth a thousand words and NASA has given us visible proof to suggest Elenin is playing a role in events down here on our planet even from a long distance. It is not a time for fear; rather it is a time for love and cooperation in the context of preparation on all levels for what is to come.
There is a history to Elenin that has been visible for years but now she is upon us and there is nothing we can do but prepare and pray - and love like we have never loved before. We have to acknowledge and accept that there is a danger and there is a possibility that part of our civilization and the people in it will be lost. The below video displays what has been known by NASA for decades.
The whole solar system seems to be heating up, the sun is becoming active and earth-changing events are becoming more frequent and intense with beyond-worst-case-scenario climate changes hitting around the globe. We have increasing geo-activity, volcanoes, earthquakes, rogue tides, sinking islands, magnetic pole migration, mass animal deaths, huge unexplained whirlpools in the Atlantic and so much more it would make anyone’s head spin.
We were tipped off to something unusual happening when Greenland experienced sunrise two days early, which was a strong sign that something was off with Earth’s orbit. On January 25th I said:
There is a lot of information (except in the mainstream press) about 2012 and the end of the Mayan Calendar that many are obsessing over but there is more than enough in 2011 to worry about and act on. Last week I was knocked off my chair with the report from the Arctic Circle in Greenland that the sun came back over the horizon two days early. That’s no small occurrence, is not something easy to make up, is not being reported as expected in the mainstream press, and only wild and stupid theories like global warming (since we really have rapid cooling) are being blamed for the event.
Next Few Months
August 3, 2011 marks the time that the earth passes through the brown dwarf perigee position, while the brown dwarf is crossing the earth orbit location. About two weeks pass and on August 18 the brown dwarf crosses the Venus orbit some 67 million miles from the sun. Then 24 days pass to when the brown dwarf reaches the nearest point to the sun at 44.73 million miles. September 25, 2011 marks the time that the earth passes through the second conjunction with the sun, brown dwarf, Mercury, Saturn and Uranus in line for another gravitational alignment.
This video from the top of a mountain in Japan seems to have caught Elenin on camera.
October 2 is the day that the brown dwarf crosses Venus’ orbit again to begin trekking in the direction of earth. Two weeks go by and the brown dwarf crosses the earth orbit line to pass directly in front of our planet at just 22.3 million miles away, which is the nearest point in our encounter. The brown dwarf crosses the Mars orbit line on November 14, 2011 on the way to the third conjunction on November 22 where the earth once again passes directly between the two like on March 15.
Conclusion
An approaching brown dwarf star answers a lot of questions about what is happening all around us that others simply cannot begin to answer. No one really knows what will happen in the fall of this year as this incoming celestial body gets between us and the sun and then rebounds out again and heading directly into earth’s neighborhood. One person has speculated that it could rip our moon loose. It could hit us if its flight plan is changed by hitting an asteroid in the next few days. That could be possible if it really were a comet, but if it is a neutron star with a large mass, nothing will deflect its ordained path.
If we are lucky, nothing will happen but humanity is not looking or feeling lucky these days.
What seems likely is what most of the ancient cultures and religions remember - huge floods that pass the world over. The only way the world can have a global flood is if there is some event like an asteroid impact, polar shift, or a very dense object passing close by earth that causes a massive tsunami tide. The gravitational pull would grab the water and pull it over the land on a massive scale, much like the moon does today on a smaller scale in the form of tides.
Safe Zones:
1. Move 150+ miles from the coasts.
2. Move 600 feet above sea level.
3. Move away from volcanoes and super volcanoes like Yellowstone in northwestern USA.
4. Move away from earthquake/seismic/avalanche/fault zones like the New Madrid Fault Zone in central USA.
5. Move away from dams that will break.
6. Move away from nuclear power plants that could become compromised.
7. Move away from high elevations where radiation levels will be highest.
8. Move away from large population areas where food riots will escalate into chaos and mayhem.
9. Join into survival groups with people of like mind that have survival supplies, gear and guns to protect them.
There is no shortage of flood legends. The earliest extant flood legend is contained in the fragmentary Sumerian Eridu Genesis, datable by its script to the 17th century BCE. In the Babylonian Epic of Gilgamesh there are references to the Great Flood (tablet 11). The best-known version of the Jewish deluge legend is contained in the Book of Genesis (Genesis 6-9). God selects Noah, a man who “found favor in the eyes of the Lord” and commands him to build an ark to save Noah, his family, and the earth’s animals and birds. After Noah builds the ark, “All the fountains of the great deep burst open, and the floodgates of the sky were opened.”
There are many sources of flood legends in ancient Chinese literature. The Shujing, or “Book of History,” probably written around 500 BCE or earlier, states in the opening chapters that Emperor Yao is facing the problem of flood waters that “reach to the heavens.” According to the Australian aborigines the water covered the land. Only the highest mountain peaks were visible, like islands in the sea.

Looks as if you could easily tick off the first 3 at this point in time with number 4 having been next on the list for a while now... This could all be part of the script of course so I guess for clues we should be keeping an eye on all the upper level pyramid people and their favourite minions to see if they start disappearing (underground) in the next couple of months :wink: 8)

Well, I'm not saying this is what's happening, but if the NZ and Japanese earthquakes did fall on sol-comet-earth conjunctions, and this comet turns out to be less than totally ginormous, and we get further disasters on other conjunctions, then it looks very likely that those first two sad events were military actions, and any others are pretty suss too
Cities are almost never hit like Chch, you have to wonder! There is so much space between cities, for a city to get a direct hit, when the fat controllers are trying so hard to legitimize weather control; the obvious question is, was it the Russians?

Was discussing the same for all these tornadoes too. Hear much about any out in the countryside? What about the one in Auckland they were "predicting" the week after the North Shore one struck? Heard many tornado predictions before (for a main centre too)?

You may have heard the news: Comet Elenin is coming to the inner-solar system this fall. Comet Elenin (also known by its astronomical name C/2010 X1), was first detected on Dec. 10, 2010 by Leonid Elenin, an observer in Lyubertsy, Russia, who made the discovery “remotely” using the ISON-NM observatory near Mayhill, New Mexico. At the time of the discovery, the comet was about 647 million kilometers (401 million miles) from Earth. Over the past four-and-a-half months, the comet has - as comets do - closed the distance to Earth’s vicinity as it makes its way closer to perihelion (its closest point to the sun). As of May 4, Elenin’s distance is about 274 million kilometers (170 million miles).
“That is what happens with these long-period comets that come in from way outside our planetary system,” said Don Yeomans of NASA’s Near-Earth Object Program Office at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, Calif.
“They make these long, majestic, speedy arcs through our solar system, and sometimes they put on a great show. But not Elenin. Right now that comet looks kind of wimpy.”
How does a NASA scientist define cometary wimpiness?
“We’re talking about how a comet looks as it safely flies past us,” said Yeomans. “Some cometary visitors arriving from beyond the planetary region - like Hale-Bopp in 1997 - have really lit up the night sky where you can see them easily with the naked eye as they safely transit the inner-solar system. But Elenin is trending toward the other end of the spectrum. You’ll probably need a good pair of binoculars, clear skies, and a dark, secluded location to see it even on its brightest night.”
Comet Elenin should be at its brightest shortly before the time of its closest approach to Earth on Oct. 16 of this year. At its closest point, it will be 35 million kilometers (22 million miles) from us. Can this icy interloper influence us from where it is, or where it will be in the future? What about this celestial object inspiring some shifting of the tides or even tectonic plates here on Earth? There have been some incorrect Internet speculations that external forces could cause comet Elenin to come closer...

We had previously reported how Planetary Alignments with Comet Elenin Causing Big Earthquakes. And about Comet Elenin HUGE MASS, as objects with smaller mass having short elliptic al Orbit, from 2 up to 1000 years or so, like Asteroids or Comets.The fact that Elenin comet (C2010 X1 ) enters our solar system close to the ecliptic with a Period of ~11’800 Years (Long Period Orbit), makes this Object very dangerous. read it all
In latest development now we learns 10 page letter is already out on the web since October 2010, which proves that US NASA and the White House know about ELENIN and consider it “a real threat” (On October 11, 2011 Elenin will be only 0.246au away from Earth; that’s a quarter of the distance to the sun.) it`s possible even more dangerous against earth than we understand.
They are calculating and preparing to if possible take action against this Comet. John Holdren, director of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, or OSTP, outlines plans for “(A) protecting the United States from a near-Earth object that is expected to collide with Earth...
As I sit here now, I’m looking at this Ephemeris software showing the orbital positions of the planets. This has actually been a daily activity for me over the past several weeks, kind of like checking the weather in the morning. I can see that Jupiter and Saturn have just past opposition (the actual date was April 28th). Speaking of planetary alignments, there’s been a lot of talk of these in the news as of late. SOTT carried an article earlier this month describing an unusual planetary alignment that happened on May 11th. On this day Mercury, Venus, Mars and Jupiter all lined up neatly in the sky. Interestingly, an earthquake was felt in Spain that same day. Just for clarification, this alignment in early May was actually a geocentric alignment, meaning that the Earth was lined up with these planets, or the Earth was the frame of reference as opposed to the Sun, for instance...
The search for Planet-X began centuries ago when astronomers detected orbital perturbations in the outer planets Uranus and Neptune. Their orbits are skewed towards constellation of Orion, causing astronomers to believe that the orbits of these two planets are being pulled by a large gravitational body.
The Sun’s binary companion (Nemesis) is thought to exist ever since the first launch of the early Pioneer 10 and 11 spacecrafts which detected the sun’s binary (dead) twin, a failed star around 50 billion miles away from the known solar system. Another object that was detected by the Pioneer spacecrafts and later by IRAS satellite in 1983 was around 4.7 billion miles away, a huge red gaseous object, in a highly elliptical orbit, too close to the solar system that it had to be part of it, it was suggested by the scientists. This celestial body was found in the same direction as of the Binary Companion of the Sun (dead star; Nemesis). Soon thereafter media pointed out that it was a mistake, that no celestial body was found. This object at the distance of 4.7 billion miles is also known as the Dwarf Star or Planet X in modern science, ancient Sumerians called it Nibiru, and in ancient Egyptian civilization it was known as the Destroyer Star. Orbit of this Planet X is thought to be around 3600 years passing through the known solar system. Picture taken and leaked by the South Pole Telescope in 2007 gave out coordinates in the sky for this huge object headed towards the solar system. Google Sky has the image cropped out at those exact coordinates. These coordinates happen to be at the western edge of the constellation Orion. Originally the 1983 article by Washington Post pointed out that the Mystery Heavenly Body was located on the western side of the constellation Orion. Egyptian pyramids are built in alignment to the constellation Orion replicating the exact proportions of the three middle stars (Orion Belt) of this constellation. Articles are now popping up like a few in Australia, how the star Betelgeuse is about to go supernova (collapse on itself creating a big bang like display; also creates a black hole) causing 2 suns to appear in the sky by 2012. This star’s location is in the constellation of Orion. There is another find by scientists that there are rogue dark planets freely floating in the galaxy without being bound to any star. Since there are eye witness accounts around the globe of the second sun like object in the sky from early 2010, it seems that people are being prepared to see this object when it will be visible from all parts of the earth, and is being portrayed as nothing moving our way but just a star going supernova. Supernovas take place every now and then in the observable universe and many have taken place and seen since modern civilization has had the capacity to visually penetrate the deep space...

It’s funny how things happen as just last weekend I was ridiculing ” end of the world” prophecies and the people who believe them. Then after the show we decided to disconnect and engage in some deep meditation for the first time in a few months.
It started as a normal experience with the crackling sound of cellophane, what I believe to be the very fabric of space-time ripping as the spirit temporarily leaves the body and enters an alternate dimension coupled with the sense of unease, anxiety and a little bit of panic as the consciousness adjusts to a body-less/ego-less state. The veil between dimensions clear within view as the natural functions of the body, heartbeat, breaths, blood flow increases but the awareness of these functions disappear into an awe of the colors and geometric patterns overtaking the soul, and the blast off sensation of ripping straight through the barrier into what many dub as “hyperspace”.
The room disappears as another forms of a fluid flowing substance that is neither solid, liquid or gas. The keepers of this dimension, the guides if you will, appeared and spoke with objects of colors moving in synchronicity and showing me the sound of their visual language. The objects before me spelled out letters that I have never seen before but recognized immediately and as what little was left of my physical mind translated the objects into the earthly language of English, it was clear the objects represented the letters E.L.E.N.I.N. I knew the name but I shrugged it off a few weeks ago when people brought it up both in passing and on our radio program. I justified my ignorance of the subject mentally citing Y2K and many other end of the world prophecies...
Most of you more than likely heard the show where my husband Bob was invited to call in during the last half hour and spoke about what we knew at that time about what we believed was Elenin, and its possible history.
Events have been moving hard and fast ever since that show, and more and more photos/images of Elenin, and its traveling companions have been hitting the internet.
Leonid Elenin has had his web site www.spaceobs.org swamped with questions ever since!
And I am sorry to say, he is very dismissive of the claims and annualized images showing other objects coming with, or behind “His” comet. And he is starting to complain about people doctoring his images, to show objects that were never there in the first place. And while he did not mention any names … I want to say right here … no trickery or photo-shopping was involved in the enlargement & enhancing of either his photos, or anyone else’s photos to obtain what you are about to see...

Then we look in to the geometric decline of the magnetic fields and how the poles are being shifted faster and faster in the last 10 years. I couldn’t agree more... the Chinese government is clearly not stupid. Regardless, this begs the question: what is their plan, and why? Bringing Manhattan to Mongolia? In the earthly sky the comet is quite close to the Sun, and soon it will be impossible to observe - it will be hidden the rays of the setting Sun. C/2010 X1 (Elenin) will not emerge from solar conjunction until the beginning of October, when it will be visible in binoculars and maybe even with the unaided eye.

Haha! Yeah dude, I was in the zone there for a while and doin' a bit o' readin' but it was starting to occur to me that as with all topics there's tons of people jumping on the bandwagon! There's the usual extremes represented above in both the articles and comments but there's interesting info in amongst also. Hence I just posted links to all the articles on the subject on that site in 1 place in case anyone wanted to check 'em out. But yeah, but nah, but yeah I had a long yawn at the end of it all and had to do some breathing to clear my brain before I went to bed 8)
On reflection the best comments I read were ones about "now is the time to focus on love and loving each other liked you've never loved before" - all that kind of stuff :) (oh fack, now I sound like a hippy!)
What if Elenin was the blue star Kachina of Hopi legend, which would be followed next year by the red star Kachina, (Tyche/Nibiru)...

Yup, this stuff is all things to all men.
One positive thing to draw from it IMHO is, while we are collectively acknowledging our fragility and mortality, we "MAY" be chipping away at the embedded script put there by the phony culture of "because I'm worth it".
It IS scary because it's reality, not the bubble caused by the weapon of mass destraction ( the hellivision )
I go on about Velikovsky because when I read his books on these past upheavals it made a big impression on me.
I find a lot of sense in the repeating fractal nature of nature.
As above so below etc, and a plant grows seeds and bites the Kumara.
A human does pretty much the same.
So why would it be hard to imagine a civilisation wouldn't do likewize?
Celestial events like Shoemaker-Levy serve to illustrate that in our time we have seen some monsters in our own neighborhood.

Quite right, theres no need to fear, even if you were staring doom in the face, the soul survives death, we are all just here for the experience, to feel to touch to see, to laugh to cry, to sample the senses and grow from that interaction. Many of you wonder what is life is all about, is it all really worth it, it seems so superficial, but yet it is worth it completely, you are only here for a short while, try and lift those around you, say something nice to a complete stranger, bring a little bit of light, a bit of laughter, a bit of love into your world, it needs it now more than ever.
Sorry that wasnt really the place for that, however we are in a very interesting period of time now, everything must be watched very very closely, nothing is as it appears and you could find this entire world changes overnight, be very careful, be very alert, dont believe everything you are told or read as gospel, be discerning, use good judgement, above all be prepared. Get that first aid and survival kit together now, try and store it away from your house if possible, in your car maybe, or at the very least in a large bag by your door so you can grab it and leave straight away. This comet and the ones coming aound the same time (yu55/honda) are all probably harmless and will pass without incident...
