|
|
I know there have been several threads on this issue over the years and the debate got fairly heated. I have tracked down most/all of the old threads and linked them below if you haven’t already checked them out.
Last night I suddenly remembered an event I witnessed here in Wellington in 2008 that never got reported here or anywhere else for that matter that I believe solves once and for all the Black-Beam controversy. (At least it does for ME!)
I was sitting in my back yard one afternoon in the suburb of Mount Cook looking North over the roof of my house when a Dash 8 aircraft flew very low over the CBD from west to east on it’s approach to land at Wellington Airport.
It was a very hazy day as there was a southerly breeze blowing mist off the Cook Strait onto the city. It was about midday and the sun was more or less in the centre of the sky.
As the plane flew past I witnessed something astonishing, for about 1 ˝ -2 seconds, 4 bright and distinct shadows projected off the aircraft, one from each wingtip of the plane projecting out sideways both sides, and one projecting from the nose of the craft forwards and one also from the rear of the craft backwards! They were black beams!
This was quite a spectacular sight to see and I remember thinking immediately “f*** it, that dick Hector was right!”
I never bothered to post it because if I remember correctly Ross was in the “Sin Bin” by that time and I was distracted with other things.
Sorry Ross, I keep remembering and then forgetting to tell this story. I have meant to tell you it for ages now…
It proved to me conclusively that the black beams are shadows. It also proved to me that arguing about angles of beams/the sun/ position you were facing etc etc is fruitless because what I witnessed was 4 beams projecting in 4 different directions at exactly the same time! An absolute fluke!!!
So for me at least, this mystery is completely solved and the theories of secret technologies are completely debunked. Ross might be wrong about many things but he knows his shadows ;)
Obviously this is all anecdotal and some here may disregard it as evidence or proof of anything. I could have just sat on this one and left the debate hanging where it was but I am all for getting to the truth of a matter….

Haha! Jung would be proud! 8)
Yeah, I never swallowed that black beam thing either. Always seemed just a little bit of a stretch. If you look carefully at my latest photos of the trail out west you might be able to pick up a trace of a shadow in one or two of those. I remember seeing it before I took the pics. |

Hey, I like the way you make a huge exaggeration ("many things") as a counter-point and to emphasise my correct assessment of this matter ("knows his shadows").
Nice; thanks. :) |
