A quick note to let you know of Greg King's comment made during discussion on TVNZ 7's THE COURT REPORT about the Canterbury earthquake legislation. Some talk about the government's reasoning behind the bill included the 'climate change' issue ... Greg King (lawyer and frontman for the show) interjected with "don't tell me anyone still believes in climate change". I got the impression he was mocking the government for using something they know is not right, and that the panel and audience agreed.

Good to hear on mainstream by an intelligent being (albeit a lawyer). The show probably doesn't have the audiences that Shorty Street might get, yet it made me think 'good one'.

Here's a link to The Court Report page - episode 'Preemptive Government Quake Relief'

PS ... Nasty stuff this bill they rushed through ... anything!!! can happen now ... but that's another topic.

I seriously doubt that the government's reasoning behind that bill includes 'climate change'. The provisions expire in 2012. It has nothing to do with climate change. Greg King's interjection was completely gratuitous.
