Thanks Tranceformer
Looks just like the average day over Auckland these days to me  In fact I'd go as far as to say Auckland looks worse most days now. Those trails look very much the same as all the ones I've seen & photographed in Auckland and now off Raglan as well. Looks very much to me with our narrow land mass that we ARE DEFINITELY getting hit with offshore trails that drift over us with the prevailing wind. In the case of that video it just so happens that they had a lot of easterlies over summer hence the trails were being done off Whananaki on the east coast. Generally they're done out west as westerlies are our most common prevailing wind with easterlies being more common during summer months (take it from a surfer from way back!).
More & more people need to be made aware of this in the right way so that action begins to be taken (rather than just a load of talk or stupid mindless bickering about conspiracy "theorists").
If someone could please post a source for the stickers & posters shown in the video that might be a way some people can begin... |

Hi Crakka
Ta for your reply. Agree with your observations re winds and spray drift etc. (also a surfer!)
I think if one were to contact Claire Swinney in Whangarei she could shed much more light on this.
