This trail stretched miles along the Wellington Western hill line - it took 3 landscape format shots on my digital camera to cover it all. A second trail was being laid from the northern end of this one when I saw this, which must have just been laid.
The southern end was parallel with Wellington airport runway. Passenger jets were taking off northward, over the harbour and across the Western hills, where they curve south for Christchurch or angle north over Kapiti Island to Auckland (not this day while the chem-planes were there, however!) They do not fly along the hill line – ever.
It is therefore impossible for passenger jets to have taken this flight path and leave contrails.
I first sighted it at 3:45 pm:
This is a combination of two adjoining photos was taken 25 minutes later:
These were taken 30m minutes later, at 4:40 pm. It took almost an hour to expand - very light winds that day. The end of the airport runway is on top of the bank in the left of the pics:

| Yep, that's a decent chemtrail alright! We've been getting a lot of the usual stuff up here in Auckland over the last few weeks - short trails in what I'll term "strategic" places at various times. Some days we've had a small number others quite a few. The skies have been sketchy nearly every day. I have a few photos but they're not that clear so didn't bother posting so far. May have a another look and see if I can enhance them at all. |

Kia ora and welcome valhalla (albeit much late) ... :-)
Good to see others getting images up for viewing. There has been a bit of activity here in Marlborough - not as full on as other years though. One thing I am noting of late is the flight path(s) over this area seem to have moved or are less active ??? I am trying to keep an eye on that.
I have moderate to serious PC probs and have jumped on my visiting son's laptop to post this. Hopefully I will be up and running sooner than later - I have some images to share.
Thanks for the post and images valhalla - well done.
(There has been a bit of an echo in here lately, eh Crakka - thanks to you and solohawk for keepin the home fires burning. :-) ) |

No worries guys
Now it seems we're getting some "real" chemtrails of the long continuous type over Auckland lately too! I'm wondering if they think the time is right now to start blitzing over the main centres what with all the stuff in the background in media (ads, programs, movies). Can't recall ever seeing full trails over Auckland this frequently before. See my new entries... |
