A short time ago (~10pm) I was outside on the phone with someone in Blenheim when my partner and I saw a moving ball of light travelling SE over the valley ... heading towards Blenheim ... much lower than most planes and not on a regular flight path ... the person I was talking to also saw it and said it remained on a SE path (making it heading out to sea south of Wellington) .... it wasn't moving fast - steady but not slow ... no sound as it approached or passed ... my partner got the binoculars and could not determine any detail ... a ball of light ... definitely no reflection from the full moon.
Question: (Secondfield if you are around ... )
Is there a hot line for reporting sightings? What's the best way to quickly report sightings? |

| Interesting you say that, about one week ago I witnessed a small ball of light traveling away from my place in a northerly direction. It must have been 10 to 20 metres in the air and moved away quite quickly, it was at best guess basketball sized. Like a lit up large soap bubble. Seemed a little unusual, but could have been anything I guess. |

Interesting indeed Deano ... different to what I was seeing ... but I have heard stories from witnesses of balls of light that moved among the forest and the people there - and then zip off.
I have an update on my sighting ...
On Saturday morning I submitted a downloaded 'sighting report form' provided by UFOCUS NZ - http://www.ufocusnz.org.nz/sightings.htm
I received this reply today Sunday) ....

Thanks for your sighting report.
We have received a number of similar sightings, so I am preparing the reports to put them on the website.
So we'll have a look at the details, and get back to you in due course.

Suzanne Hansen

Oh hey Ruapaka,
Just saw this post ... yep, Suzanne was the person to contact for this report, Im busy across the ditch (west island) at the moment. Do you think you could roughly place the location and poss direction etc of the object using google earth? There was a sighting late November over upper Moutere that sounds similar to what you guy's saw ... I think it was posted on MNZ also??

Hey Secondfield, :-) re google earth - and me dial-up ... LOL I'll have a go ...
Re reference to Moutere sightings ... balls of fire were mentioned ... our UFO was not like fire - no sparkling .. a ball of bright white light. There are some accounts on the net that refer to light in a bubble ... same thing 'spose. Very interested to see what Suzanne Hansen puts together.
Keep a watch on the sky-scape people ... |

Update:
I have just visited UFOCUS NZ site and there are two accounts of this sighting that have been published (including ours)
Here's a link ...

Seems like the UFO travelled straight across the top-of-the-south ... and that's all folks ... I wonder ??? surveillance? test run? sight-seeing? atmospheric data collection? .......... |

Hmmm Interesting area too. Bruce Cathie had a sighting of an object that 'fired' something groundwards across the area while he was a pilot. Apparently shockwaves from it broke windows in the Nelson area. This is detailed in his books. The area of Latitude where these sightings are occuring was the focus of a report I compiled back in 06 ... based around a particular Harmonic line related to BC's research. It seems these new occurences are happening close to this harmonic also. Not to mention thats also in the vicinity of the where the 'Kaikoura lights' materialised.

I highly recommend you all listen to last Sunday's "Truth Hertz" show with Charles Giuliani -
Charlie interviews Michael Lawrence Morton about archaeocryptology - http://mp3.oraclebroadcasting.com/Truth_Hertz/Truth_Hertz.2010-02-07_16k.mp3
He had a few technical problems and so it takes a while to warm up but it's a bloody fantastic discussion about some amazing mathematical equations worked out using both ground factors (pyramids, etc) & sky factors (stars & planets). There's a reason I posted it in this thread but that's all I'm saying - listen for yourself! I really hope he has this guy back for further discussion cos they only just scratched the surface in this show 8) |

Thanks for that link Crakka, Ive sent off for the PDF document that chap was talking about.
Interesting also with his research stretching across the time domain also, not just rooted in mathmatical correlations in a geo-spatial physical type sense . :?
Bruce Cathie also added a function of this sort into his research with a harmonic calculation seperated by time (and factored in also) with regards to two
unknown explosions occuring in the Auckland area, one was attributed to an
unusal sighting of a light (avondale foundry explosion)..
Another wooly piece to add to the cosmic jigsaw. Im starting to think someones made all this up ... |

Let me know how it looks ;-) Will try and keep an eye on Charlie's shows to see if that dude pops up again
The stuff he touched on in that show definitely sparked an interest! |
