Not great photos today unfortunately but just more documentation of exactly the same kind of activity I always see up here and exactly the same area of sky and angle of trajectory as in this post on 12 Nov 2009 - http://www.mysteriousnewzealand.co.nz/forums/viewtopic.php?t=1460
Just one short trail today. Most of the trail seemed to dissipate shortly after being done and only a short little bit remained which transformed into the usual "fake cloud" that hung around for a few hours. Although I could very faintly see the whole length of the trail by eye just before I took the first shots it didn't show up in the photos. Notice how the little puff of cloud changes angle in the wind, transforms and expands.

Didn't really clarify properly in that last post. The little puff of fake cloud you can see in the first 2 photos was the start of the trail. Continuing from this on a 45 degree angle heading down to the right was a very thin trail which dissipated quite quickly - a contrail! Quite strange that we had a little short section of PT then that continued into a contrail which disappeared. I've only seen this happen once before here although this latest time the contrail was longer - http://www.mysteriousnewzealand.co.nz/forums/viewtopic.php?t=1199
