What's new though? It's even worse in Auckland - if I'd have made a tiny fraction of the bad calls they make in my last job I'd have been out on my arse years ago! Until they needed to start elevating the dubious science of meteorology in order to train the public before all this global warming bullshit, meteorologists were total bottom feeders. Still are in my opinion. Kinda like the choir boys in the Catholic hierarchy - and we all know what the "working relationship" between priests and choirboys is don't we?!

... ditto A Butler .... Ken Ring is the choice for a lot of farmers ... who's living depends on accurate weather forecasting ... correct? I read some of his writings on his website a few years ago - made a lot of sense. A while back I wrote him with a question about moon anomalies that were being touted on the net at the time - he was more than helpful - immediate response and very willing to pass on his knowledge - gotta be good. :) Go Ken!!

Predicting the weather .... if 'they' get it wrong more and more, doesn't this make a stronger case for the pro Man-made Climate Change?

I personally think John and Melody should re-instate Hector as a member of this forum. Personally I was pissed/upset that he was banned. I will gladly duke this matter out with John and Melody in this thread.

Re-instate Hector.

I want to bring back the biff.

John, Melody, what is up!

I was actually going to mention something about that guy when all this stuff hit the fan but seeing as I wasn't around when all that was going on I didn't think it was my place to. However, my comment above was definitely a little dig at "that" fraternity  Personally I'd love to see what crap he comes up with now to defend the position as we all know that no matter how much proof you get against them they'll defend it until they've been beaten into a coma with a huge log of their own sh*t!!! 8)

However, realistically I think all it will do is create a silly little "us & them" battle in the forum which will take us backwards, not forwards so sorry Jeremy - just my opinion on the face of it but I think here is not the place for that kind of distraction. I do have to agree with something Alan Watt said a while ago about the reason he stays out of forums. You've probably heard it and I'm sure solo knows exactly what I'm saying too. From what I've seen of past debates with this guy in reading back through the forum I personally think reinstating him would be a waste of time and take us away from where we're heading. Just my single opinion, others please chime in...

Smashdracs sounds like you have got your dukes up and looking for a sparring partner ...

I felt Hector looked down his nose at the likes of us - we being of lesser intelligence 'n all. I admired his thoroughness and tenacity, but his arrogance was most off-putting.

I'm sure you weren't the only one smash. Hector won't be reinstated. Anyone wanting to 'duke it out' with him should maybe drop him a line here: http://www.freewebs.com/contraildiagnosis/Contact.htm. Although as he says on his page, he may not reply to any unsupportive comments, he doesn't seem so keen to pour his time and resources into private exchanges by the sounds of it. Maybe because nobody is backing him to do those 8)

He wasn't all that thorough actually - he was obviously a prolific and speedy poster and had the ability to put his hands on copious amounts of information in a short space of time, which at times probably gave the impression of thoroughness - I think he was just as guilty of making sweeping unsubstantiated analyses as those he accused of the same... And of course, he employed the classic 'ignore the evidence and facts you can't explain away' technique... etc etc... He was a time-waster.

I also think Crakka's comments were pretty apt.
