The gain is incalculable greed and enormous profits for the super rich – none of whom at all live in New Zealand.
· Trans-Tasman Resources Ltd (TTR) is well advanced in its plans now to develop the iron-sands. http://www.ttrl.co.nz/cms.aspx?page=What_are_Iron_Sands&flag=1

· The company is working and talking with the Maori tribes about the projects – now!
http://www.tkm.govt.nz/map

· The withdrawing of NZ’s Foreshore and Seabed Act is to be in March 2011. The
intention is to replace it with the Common Marine and Coastal Area Bill which is to
become an Act in March 2011.

· The new Common Marine and Coastal Area Bill proposes to “fast-track” the repeal of Crown ownership (on behalf of the nation) of the country’s foreshore and seabed out to the 200-mile EEZ limit and “privatize” it to Maori tribes.
· It is an incredibly deceptive method to TRANSFER the whole of
Aotearoa’s inalienable rights over precious national resources, TO greedy
non-living foreign-owned banks and mining companies.

NOW EVERYONE SHOULD KNOW WHY WINSTON PETERS HAS SUDDENLY BEEN THRUST BACK IN THE LIMELIGHT AND IS DOING PUBLIC MEETINGS ALL OVER THE PLACE!!! THE LAST TIME HE WAS MAKING HEADLINES EVERY DAY HELEN SIGNED US INTO ETS!!!

Sorry for the shouting but I was just trying to wake that guy up who was nodding off in the corner! 8)

His daughter's a stage actor and it's obvious where she gets it from

"Look over here people! Look at the monkey, the dancing monkey! Don't take your eyes off the monkey! Look how well he dances to the music!"

Thanks smash

Oh and I bet none of you have heard of this one. It's been brewing for a while. Make sure to read the article and any others you can follow up on. Not heaps of detail here but I read about it in a NZ Fishing magazine a short while ago and it's a pretty huge deal alright. In a nutshell a "$600 million plan to put 200 huge turbines generating about 200MW on the seabed at the (Kaipara) harbour mouth". Well, that was the price a year ago and we all know how inflation works right?

Crest Energy's website understandable has very little info on the company itself but there's a fair smattering of "green" jargon everywhere. The Investors page for instance makes for interesting reading  I'm sure if you follow your nose you'll find links to overseas investment/ownership...

Coincidental timing? "...representatives from significant US corporates" tagging along... wonder who makes up the rest of the 50?

Top US official to visit New Zealand
Last updated 13:44 15/02/2011

A top official from the Obama administration will be in Christchurch later this month to attend the fourth United States/New Zealand partnership forum.

Foreign Affairs Minister Murray McCully said US Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano's visit was a testament to the new level of cooperation between the two countries.

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton visited in November last year.

New Zealand already worked closely with the US on matters of counter-terrorism and disaster response but planned to do more in the Pacific, on border security and trade, McCully said.

"I look forward to discussing these and other areas of cooperation with Secretary Napolitano when she visits this month."

The forum runs from February 20 - 22.

Napolitano is responsible for US domestic security including from global terrorism, natural disasters, immigration and trade security.

United States Ambassador David Huebner said he was delighted the US delegation would be led by a member of President Obama's Cabinet.

"Coming only four months after Secretary Clinton's visit, Secretary Napolitano's visit underscores the growing scope and critical importance of the relationship between the two countries," Huebner said.

"Secretary Napolitano's visit underscores the expanding relationship between the two countries as outlined in the Wellington Declaration, signed last year by Secretary Hillary Clinton and Foreign Minister Murray McCully."

Also attending the Forum will be Assistant Secretary of State for East Asian and Pacific Affairs, Kurt Campbell, and a host of other dignitaries.

A number of other current or former Administration representatives, current Congressmen, and representatives from significant US corporates like Boeing, Kraft Foods and Time Warner will be among the around 50 US delegates.
