Hi.
Does anyone know of anyone showing good "uncensored" meaning alternative movies in Auckland, along the lines of N.W.O./ Illuminati/ UFO/ Natural Health etc etc etc somewhat along the lines of the chap from Wellington that runs them?
Was hoping there may be an established group to join so to speak - if so, please PM me the details if you wish. Otherwise I would consider with help, strating our own Auckland monthly movie night showing the latest "alternative news" movies that you won't see on the mainstream TV or Cinemas.

Maybe you should consider starting up something yourself out there on a small scale first if there's a venue option. I know there's one or two halls and the surf clubs out there with rooms that would be suitable and you might be able to strike some kind of a deal with someone over those to start off with something small on a monthly basis or something. You might want to put a notice in a local newsletter and on noticeboards asking if anyone in the community is interested in helping to organise "information evenings" or something and see if you get any interest from others that might want to help out. Once you suss something out you could do a noticeboard campaign & leaflet drop for a period leading up to whatever you organise. A poster capaign could be really productive too - got art skills? :)
Maybe you should contact smashdracs and ask him how he went about setting up his evenings.
I guess if I had to add my personal thoughts they would be along the lines of keeping things low key rather than advocating "a group to join". I think the key thing is advocating individual thought & action rather than group-think and following what the leadership of any group puts forward. I like the thought of monthly evenings where you could watch a movie, maybe have a guest speaker (local naturopath, alternative "whomever") to go with the theme of the evening and then a small discussion time afterwards over a herb tea or mineral water for those that wish to hang around. Sounds like a good evening out for aware persons :wink:
