Greetings

I have some images to share (taken earlier this month) .... not natural looking ... different to other surrounding forms.

1. 12 May - 4:43pm ... facing NW. The band stretched across the valley - N-S. The other 'swipe' of cloud perpendicular to the long band was very bright and was why I got the camera out. Some contrails observed this day - no PTs observed. I do not think the band is a PT ... although, ... ??

2. same day - 4:51pm ... facing W. Half a lazy-eight ... sitting all alone, minimal drift and morphing. Don't think this one is natural. The puffy cloud at south (left) end is part of there of ... I watched and waited for the puffy bit to dissipate or move so I could get a clearer view, but what you see is all in one.

3. closer ...

4. a few mins later ...

5. 13 May - 5:08pm ... facing NW. Another bright (iridescent) cloud looking rather unique amidst other forms.

6. closer ...

Shots 1, 2, 3 & 4 are VERY similar to those short trails I see being made up here out west of Auckland. They behave the same too taking a lot longer to morph then natural clouds around them most of the time AND quite often have that very bright or occasionally irridescent look to them. The last couple I shot were the ones that acted the weirdest - spiralling along their length - but most just stay as straight "pieces" of trail spreading out slowly. Refer back to my older posts in Reporting & this forum for comparisons.
