I observed 2 southbound persistent trails being laid early morning ... also a longish contrail around the same time and same path ... mmmm The persistent trails morphed quite quickly.
The first two images below are of formations that developed after (and/or with) one of the southbound PTs. After this ob I made sure camera was ready - suspected more to come. There were a couple more PTs, but no more sylph like forms. The cloud moved in and by early avo it was overcast.
A Butler mentioned UFO sightings recently (12th March post) ... see image below for what I photographed overhead of me on 13th. I have another local tell me of two separate sightings on different days a couple of weeks ago of 3 orbs moving around over A Butler's area - one orb was larger. Plus an increase in PTs. Maybe something is up ... ??
Just after 11:00am - facing west. A persistent trail was laid, then the cirrus? form developed .... they drifted and morphed together. ... colour adjusted (PT more visible in second image).
...colour adjusted... the lines following PT ... the PT skews in mid section where cirrus? more condensed. Dunno what going on here.
Taken 12:15pm - one of two overhead northbound PTs (never heard a thing ??). No objects seen with naked eye, yet .... I'm not sure the 'object' on left is actual or maybe a pixel glitch or the like ... ?? ... but, the right hand object is definitely something.
... 1 min later ... these look like they have been laid at the same time ... also another object maybe ...
... another couple mins later - showing segmented nature of one of above PTs ...
It is not the first time I have snapped an orb like object in this area - and they are always near to a PT. From what I gather, they are not a rarity. Keep your eyes up A Butler, and if you can, have your camera close by,

Yep I have been carrying it with me the last 2 days.That dot on the left of your picture looks like the 2 we saw 6 months ago,they were moving erratically above us for about 10 minutes and then they shot off over the hills above your place.It was hard to focus on them because every time you looked at them there was a strange atmospheric disturbance where they were,sort of a shimmering,pretty bloody freaky actually.Not something you would like to tell to many people about,especially when their were 2 of us witnessing the same phenomenon.

Excellent stuff, thanks ruapaka! The 100% zoom of the right object in the third shot certainly gives a pretty good impression of something spherical doesn't it?!!! If only someone could get a good zoomed-in shot of those pesky things 8) Keep 'em coming!
