Looks like we're getting the propaganda thick & fast from TVNZ! Flicked on to catch a weather forecast around 8.30am this morning and caught the end of the news. Here's an article they had on end of it -

Eating a raw tomato may not be the best way to release all of its healthy anti-oxidants.

Research by Plant & Food Research, in collaboration with Lincoln University has found that lycopene, a valuable antioxidant found in high levels in tomatoes, is only released in small amounts when they are eaten raw.

So as well as eating raw tomatoes for their nutritional value, we should look to tomato sauces to get the goodness of the lycopene.

It's the processing, the researchers say, that makes lycopene more able to be digested and absorbed.

Scientists used a model of the digestive tract, simulating the activity of the human stomach and small intestine, to measure the amount of lycopene and other antioxidants released from tomatoes during typical digestive conditions.

The study found that although around 75% of the total antioxidants were released, this included only 4% of the lycopene found in the raw tomato.

Here's the sauce, I mean source - http://tvnz.co.nz/health-news/forget-tomatoes-try-tomato-sauce-2655942

Upon visiting their webpage you also see that they slotted these other "health" issues in on today's news roundup page. Quite a lovely little propaganda bombardment package all aided in no small way by chief propagandist puppet Paul Henry's blunt and witless sarcasm -

Fertility guarantee scheme
Breakfast asked Fertility Associates spokesman Dr Andrew Murray about its new fertility guarantee scheme.

Mental health report
Breakfast asked the Deputy Director of Mental Health Dr Charles Hornabrook if the mental health report on "serious or sentinel" events indicates the system is failing.

Germ myths
Breakfast debunked some of the myths about germs and germ protection.
(Yeah, I'll bet they did!)

Well... the propaganda continues. They're attacking from all angles.

BUT...

FUNNY HOW THERE'S NOT A SINGLE MENTION IN ANY OF THESE SO-CALLED ALLERGY (ESPECIALLY TO NATURAL FOODS) ARTICLES ABOUT CHEMICALS SPRAYED ONTO FRUIT & VEGETABLES AND THOSE USED TO FUMIGATE PRODUCE LIKE BANANAS AS THEY ENTER THE COUNTRY! FUNNY ISN'T IT? HAHAHA? I THINK NOT!

Most of the symptoms mentioned could probably more easily be attributed to man-made chemicals introduced to the food anywhere along the production line - in some cases multiple chemicals multiple times!

Funny also how when people start to ween themselves off the chemically treated & adulterated supermarket Frankenfood and begin eating clean homegrown raw organic stuff those allergies along with even more serious conditions can start to disappear.....

Here's a VERY GOOD link for all o' ya :) - http://www.rawfamily.com/

you are right crakka.I have been spraying glyphosate (Roundup) for 30 years. The salesman used to say it was so safe you could drink it,..I wish they would.Anyway a sniff of glyphosate now makes me pretty crook,so what will it do to the millions of people eating Roundup ready corn and soy esp when most processed foods contain corn and or soy products. These crap stories from scientists will only increase. :(

Yep, I went to a Monsanto seminar to "teach" us all about Roundup when it came out. That line about "so safe you could drink it" was the ctach phrase of the whole campaign along with massive promotion of the "fact" that its LD50 rating (amount required to kill 50% of lab test rats) was lower than common salt, coffee and many other things "we" eat. COUNTS!

Regarding the food allergy topic - see this from the thread that tonggrv posted in Climate Change Science - http://www.mysteriousnewzealand.co.nz/forums/viewtopic.php?p=8562#8562

What's obvious based on all observations up till now - It's the year of full-on mass propaganda from every angle. The public MUST be convinced that global warming is the cause of all this stuff and get behind every initiative that governments lay before them. A big part of this campaign is to try to isolate and totally discredit anyone that goes against them with the help of the general public who will blindly swallow everything they're spoonfed from TV, radio and every other mass-media source.

Example - a couple of weeks ago I was listening to bFM as I occasionally do during the working day. They have increasingly been bringing "experts" on global warming onto The Wire program around lunchtime but have never had anyone on to counterbalance what's being said. I often text feedback in but this one day I texted saying "When are you ever going to get someone on your show who has the alternative view about global warming to counterbalance all these so-called experts that say it is definitely caused by carbon emmisions? There is a huge number of scientists worldwide who don't agree with this "theory" but all we hear on bFM are pro-carbon emission advocates". At the end of the show the host just tacked this on... "and finally we had a text from somebody who said basically global warming is bullshit and will we ever be discussing this possibility? Well the simple answer is no... not anytime soon if at all!". I tell ya man - in the last year or two bFM has really gone downhill in terms of neutrality & basic quality. What I'm hearing more and more on there of late is the same one-sided propaganda you hear on mass-media but just presented in a way that appears "alternative" to appeal to a younger, supposedly "hipper" audience. It's pretty damn funny/sad. And I should know - I've been listening to bFM as pretty much the only station I could handle for the last 30 years!!!

Cripes!! That's quite a tale. A damn sad one at that, the B obviously definitely means 'booboo' not the mammary variety!
I think your right about appealing to the yarng fullahs - and THAT is scary to think the whole station has been hijacked to fit this monstrous agenda.

God save us from religion and goofball warring! :(

Txting them means you have been added to the list of potential threats Crakka, I would expect a visit from a militant greeny
