Stuck indoors for a while today so haven't looked up at the sky for much of it but when I went to head outside again looked up and saw the most vivid "rainbow" type effect I've seen yet! Hate to say it but it looked very much like the sort of thing they saw in China just before the big earthquake there (posted a Youtube link earlier) although it didn't last as long as the one in those videos!!! Blue skies with lots of that weirdo stuff around again mixed with more normal looking clouds. Had to post these straight away. Did anyone else catch this phenomenon? Again if I had a decent camera this would have looked as impressive as it did in RL! Resized efficiently for the dialup boys  Snapped about approx 2.15pm -
And this was just one of many examples of shapeshifting weird-form "clouds" although probably not the best up there today. Posted this one just cos it had an aircraft in the shot - looked commercial orangey-red body with whitish wings. Right, back to work -

| Now I don't know that much about clouds but the way that light effect is sitting right on that weird cirrus form it would suggest there's something in the makeup of the cloud that is causing the light to refract. Ice? Metal particles? Something else??? |

For those that haven't seen any of the video taken just before the Sichuan earthquake in China in May this year, here's a Youtube link. You can navigate to other links from the info on that page -
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hzVamNQzfYA&feature=related
And here's some photos of the same phenomenon reportedly taken an hour before the earthquake and posted on the chinese language site EpochTimes.com. Note the familiar form of the "cirrus-like" cloud that the light effect is seen on -
Oh and just type "earthquake light" into google and see how many scientists are trying to explain away why this has now been seen preceeding a few earthquakes with different "theories". There wasn't a single mention of HAARP or chemtrails as even a remote possibility in any of the ones I read OBVIOUSLY!!! |

Oh and just a couple of other things before I sign off. Firstly I was a bit rash saying in the first post -

I looked up and spotted it as you see it in the photos so I don't know how long it had already been there. It only lasted a few minutes after I saw it though. I'm pretty sure the last one I saw recently lasted at least a good 5-10 minutes, without actually going back and checking the post.
Secondly, sorry I posted this in the Chemtrail Reporting forum. It probably should have gone in the NZ Anomalies one... Maybe we need a forum just below this one in the list called "Reporting Area - Related Phenomena" or something :) |

Hmm, and then again this morning there was more (Sun 14 Dec 2008) although you need to look more closely at these ones due to it being a little less vivid & my camera not picking up the colours as well as your eyes do in RL. Make no mistake though, there's rainbow colours on these clouds that were clearly visible by eye and they were slightly stronger just before I retrieved my camera and took the shots. Bottom cloud had the full spectrum & top cloud had the tip of the pinky-red tinge. Sorry these aren't clearer -
I just took the same image and auto-adjusted the colours in Irfanview which makes the green hue show up slightly better in this one -

I'm starting to see it more & more now. Whenever you get all that weird cirrus stuff and bright sun at various angles you can almost guarantee you'll see something like this at some stage. Obviously if I can pop outdoors late morning after being inside for ages and see this straight away before it fades after a few minutes, then you can be sure we're missing heaps of examples up there! That really vivid one that kicked off the thread just happened to be the clearest example I've seen but we've certainly seen a lot of weaker examples around at certain times - quite often when we either didn't have a camera or by the time we grabbed it the colours had faded away as the clouds moved.
Those pink clouds you're talking about are quite often an example of the same thing in my opinion. In my experience whenever we've seen the full rainbow effect for brief periods there has always been a large prevalence of pink tinged clouds around on the day. Often when you see this you'll also see a yellowy glow underneath the pink but not the rest of the colours - I would suggest that this is simply because the colours are weak at that time (often the sunlight is not so brilliant that day or more cloud cover filtering it) so you only see the most visible end of the spectrum. |
