Kia ora all
I observed only one persistent trail on 19 Nov. - later in avo. Going by the whispy cirrus that was around most of the day, I was expecting more. We had cool breeze - southerly weather approaching.
Here are some images for the 19th. I have included a couple of images showing bands with no cloud - they intrigue me. Also included, an unusual cloud spotted early evening. Sunnies used to filter the glare.
Lower Pelorus Valley - facing W - 4:06pm
A persistent trail's lingering segment - guessing the aircraft was traveling west. Not often observed this flight path.
Lower Pelorus Valley - facing NW - 4:10pm
A thin cloudless band in middle of massing cirrus. Tearing clouds? A no-cloud zone? Illusion?
Lower Pelorus Valley - facing NW - 6:21pm
Another one ... cloudless, expanding band sweeping from mid-centre to right.
Lower Pelorus Valley - facing W - 6:41pm
Unusual looking cloud form preceding cold southerly weather.
Section of cloud preceding cold southerly weather. Only this section of a band of cloud appearing to 'roll'. (Brightness adjusted for some definition.)
