Here's an interesting phenomena from Thursday that I thought warranted posting. Also I just got my new little panoramic proggy to do some magic and stitch together at least some photos (as I don't have fancy wide-angle lenses and such!). Unfortunately it only worked for some so others are still posted singly.

This started out as a line across the sky as seen in the first 2 shots around 4pm. Then it grew into a monster that loomed HUGE overhead across the whole sky and then continued moving northeast clearly visible.

The first 2 shots from left to right but physically facing south (you just have to join them together in your head!) -





And then around 15-20minutes later from a different vantage point it was a massive beast directly overhead. I took a first series of shots then that I couldn't stitch together but the next series taken about 5 minutes later worked and shows it just moved off slightly from overhead. There's quite a curve to it due to the fact that it was a complete left-to-right almost overhead pan combined with the spherical method of blending the images together. Also as it had passed overhead by now the view is the reverse of the ones above now panning southwest to northeast -



And then around 20-30minutes later from yet a different location looking even more trail-like here -
