Kia ora koutou
Yesterday was warm and mostly sunny ... a lot of different (& different!!) cloud formed and passed through from the west. I took around 80 images yesterday ... here are some ... one persistent trail being laid is all I saw - and I was looking all day. (Injured my thumb with a pruning saw so was 'off duty' - more time to observe.) Contrails, long trails, segments of long trails persistent ... etc etc
A plethora of cloud types and some I can't tag. A lot of iridescent colours around edges of some cloud. The morning (first image) gave stronger colours. Sunnies were used in most shots - camera not do the colours justice - much brighter.
The weather predicted to bring wind and cold temps ... could explain some cloud.
The images below are in chronological order. I'm being a bit sloppy today and just throwing the images in to get it done - anyone wanting info, just ask.)

Good photos ruapaka.
That last one is almost identical to a pattern we saw directly overhead in West Auckland about 6pm a couple of weekends ago, albeit our one was only a little more spread out, believe it or not! I'm glad you posted that.
You've prompted me to post 4 shots I took last Monday morning now so will start a new thread rather than post them here.

Sorry was also going to add that Auckland has really been experiencing all kinds of varied & interesting cloud types & patterns of a very similar nature. My job working outdoors all day long together with my personal interest puts me in a good place to view this. There are others up here who are also turned on to these observations.
Another thing - despite forecasts of weather becoming "mainly fine in the afternoon" a lot of the time all we get is very small pockets of blue with masses of covering greyness plus occasional drizzle/showers all constantly being moved along by neverending wind & breeze.
