Just playing around with some streaming online broadcasts and these ones work really well with the latest VLC Media Player -
Oracle Broadcasting
Republic Broadcasting
I used to muck around with Winamp & music stations but could never really get smooth continuous streaming on my mediocre broadband connection. With VLC I can stream the 2 above clearly & continuously on the 64k & 32k streams respectively AND still even browse without interruption which I could never do before without regular cutouts. Give 'em a go - the choice of available stations out there is pretty good atm  |

Just wanted to reiterate to anyone who may have missed the initial posts that if you're looking for good sources of alternative media there's a ton out there if you go searching.
My online station of choice for listening when I'm around the house these days is Oracle Broadcasting. Recommend you click that link  The variety of content across all the shows and its difference to the older patriot-type shows is its strongpoint imo.
If you want more info on the broadcasters themselves and links to their respective personal websites and videos etc click this link - Oracle Broadcasters
I prefer listening to informative radio rather than just music a lot of the time these days but there is NO decent radio via the "normal" channels! Unfortunately listening in the car or on a walkman is limited but nearly all online broadcasters provide free up-to-date downloadable podcasts these days
Have a nice day :) |

| Oh and don't put off searching for and listening to your alternative media of choice either. New regulation of the internet that is just around the corner will seriously limit what you have access to very soon! Tune in now, keep up with the news but don't limit yourselves to any one train of thought  |
