UFO sighted over Wellington this morning.
I was called into the crystal shop early this morning as they are closing down and we had a 3000kg amethyst geode to shift.
We had a truck with crane and loaded it up and delivered it to it's temporary home and then drove back into the city.
Myself and one of the co-owners of the shop were dropped off on the street near Cuba Mall while the big boss drove off to park the car. When we got out of the car I looked up (big habit) and there in the sky was a white dome shaped object with a flat bottom casually flying impossible maneuvers in the sky NNW of our position.
I pointed it out to my friend and the bloody thing disappeared while I was desperately fumbling with my damn camera bag. When I had the camera ready it was not visible. I fired off a couple of shots in the area of sky we saw it and then it reappeared with a bright flash, at which point I fired the camera again and it then shot of northwards at a few thousand kilometers per hour.
It turns out the last photo caught it but it was already moving at high speed and the picture unfortunately does not give much to go on.
The sad irony is we both had a crystal clear view of the thing in plain sight before I could get the camera ready and it was pretty spectacular.
I need to practice my quick draw ninja camera technique.
I will post the pic when the plugins to crop the photo have downloaded onto Sonja's computer. |

You should start wearing one of these at all times! Just look and click! Guaranteed you'll never miss snapping another anomaly! You might have to build up your neck muscles first though if you wanna use a big tele lense to capture detail

That's an interesting comment Ruapaka...
In fact, there have been correlations between siesmic activity and higher than normal incidences of UFO sightings. There are generally high background levels of electromagnetic disturbance associated with siesmic activity. Ever heard of 'earthquake lights'?. Mainstream science has not yet completely quantified this phenomonen, but it has been reported frequently. |

Oh and here's a comment some poster made under the "10 minutes before" one -
"While these clouds are a little rarer than lafreemorte makes them out to be, they are, none the less, completely natural and exactly what he says they are. These are simple cirrus clouds that have sunlight refracting through the ice crystals that make them up. Nothing more, nothing less."
I'm sure some of you guys have heard a very similar description of things on these forums in the past  |

Oh, welcome to the forum Bryceee.
It sounds like you had quite a good sighting. Was it your first?
These things can have a very "rattling" effect on the man when first seen. |

| Just out in the garden this morning and saw exactly what you did.Flitting around above the Wakamarina Valley.A white dot with a black/grey edge. You could have passed it off as a seagull hovering but it had no wings and when it moved it was quick and it would come and go.Then it headed east,I looked over at my wife and she was still looking at what I thought I was looking at but it was another one and it just got smaller and then vanished. The reason we looked up in the first place was because we heard the sound of a plane that would not go away. The sky was beautiful and clear,no trails, the whole incident was pretty f@#%ed up.As far as we know we are sane rational people but what we saw and heard wasnt normal. We saw other stuff too but dont think we could describe it properly without people thinking we had lost the plot. Regarding the frequent earthquakes we have been experiencing, the same sort of thing happened leading up to the big Edgecumbe quake. We are overdue for a big quake I reckon. :( |

Hi,
Thanks for the welcome. Yes i guess it was a good sighting. It has been my 3rd in total. But this has been the first i cant find a resonable explanation for im my own mind. Very interesting. I have been keeping an eye on the sky since.
I just watched those videos before the earth quake in china. Is this caused by HAARP? I remember hearing something awhile ago linking earth quakes to solar flairs aswell... Amazing. Scary but amazing.
Have a good day all! |
