Greetings from Marlborough
Almost a cloudless day, all day. I noticed two planes on regular routes cast a long trail that dissipated quickly. Later in day I heard the drone of a big plane - it took me a moment to find it - traveling westward up the middle of the lower valley (rare occurrence) - it seemed quite large and was leaving no trail - I raced for the camera which took all of 10 seconds - when I got back to view there was a short bright trail.
Both images have been darkened and contrast played with a little.
Pelorus Valley - facing west - 4:13pm.
3 mins later ...
General observations over this way ...
1. Many folk over here suffering severe headaches.
2. Many vehicles having electrical probs - alternators, regulators, etc.
Anyone else out there having the same ... or am I being a tad paranoid? |

interesting stuff cheers for the post.
i'm not sure what use this is but my brother (no names of course) works as a chemical engineer/analysis for the NZ defense and also works quite closely with American intelligence and recently has been telling me some things that he shouldn't be really and some of them are along the lines of what you are reporting with electrical failure among other stuff.
I would be happy to talk with you further about this i just cant help but feel a little bit suspect about posting it |

Some unusual trail activity today (7th)out over your way Ruapaka.
I can see it here from Titahi bay.
Electrical problems may be possibly be related to disruptive static electromagnetic fields in the locale. Maybe you could contact a local radio repairman and ask if theyv'e experieinced an increase in faults / failures.
The fields would have to be immensely powerful to cause this and headaches, if they are traditionally 'vector' based EM emmissions they would be easily detectable with a simple field strength meter or suchlike. If they are of different origon ie longitudinal or 'scalar' type EM they would be very difficult nigh on impossible to detect with conventional detection equipment.
Have a good talk around to the local's, there seems to be something a foot down there.a worrying situation.
That trail you have photographed looks like what i have seen from down here over your way, short, bright luminescant type ones. Rather stand outish, not like your regular trail activity. Seen a couple this morning up toward the manawatu and just recently (11.22am) over your area.
Hey Psycosis Agent, hopefully its not your biological brother your talking about otherwise their onto you now and his job is in serious jeopardy... nuff said. |

Yes I observed two of these over the coast on the 6th at 5pm. One was going north and one was going south.
Luminous indeed! They dont look like regular aircraft, in fact you can barely see the shape, just the short luminous trail. |

| We saw the same from Canvastown,Last week was the scariest when we saw crisscrossing trails over Nelson, would be interesting to work at the Nelson hospital and see if there was an increase in admissions to match what we are seeing often over Nelson and also over us. |

the day before yesterday in Christchurch i watched two trails cross each other and before long i realized that one of them spanned way off into the distance across the port hills in a curved line
normally all the trails ive seen in christchurch have been straight and only ever seen them cross each other once |

| Quite a few trails today as well, looks like Im gonna have to start carrying my camera again, dam chemcrud sprayers, make me mad, dumping all over the region, and you were doing so well taking that time off to be with your families instead of laying your s$%T everywhere ( ramble ramble :D ) |

I took the images below on the 7th - the first two being what I think are unusual formations. They are not trails. Secondfield, I did not see any trails in the lower Pelorus Valley except the one in the 3rd image - not to say there weren't any others (my south and east are mostly obscured). The trail is not a segment - a start and stop version - it spread into a band (the usual kind) - didn't loose it's shape - too far away to see aircraft. That day had a range of cloud types.
Last night about 6:30pm (Thursday 8th) I noticed a persistent trail when I was traveling through the Kaituna Valley - trail was south to north direction.

I have seen the same plane and bright short trail again yesterday (27 May) - 3 weeks after the one I sighted above.
- same sound ... low drone, quite thunderous
- same plane
- same path ... heading westward (260 deg) up the middle of valley - ref. map's yellow dotted line
- same altitude ... lower than other large planes observed in the area
- same trail ... short condensed - followed by thin, light tapering trail; bright/florescent
- same time ... 4 - 4:20pm
- same day ... Tuesday
This may be a regular flight, but I have only witnessed it twice in 3 weeks - cloud cover and/or absence from the valley may be why. The flight vector map does not include this path.

I saw same thing again today. I was coming home from Blenheim and saw the plane further North of the Pelorus Valley - I estimate no more than 5kms north. I wouldn't have seen it from home.
The planes all appear to be coming from Wellington way.
Regular flight??
Nelson bound ??? or where.
International - I don't think so - too low.
No other planes leaving trails ... a beautiful autumn day (as it was for the other sightings). |

I saw 5 of the short luminous trails going home from work today about 5.10pm, . Could have even been 6 even but I was driving so it was hard to observe properly. Three appeared to be moving south and the others north. They were moving that regular airliner type speed but were not your 'regular' aircraft if you get my drift.
Earlier in the week i was coming home at the same time and looking out to the north-west from Palmerston North I could see one short luminous trail moving south and the other one moving north. I watched as the two converged, the bottom trail disappeared completely and the trail above continued on north. Very weird to say the least.
Although I have never seen these 'aircraft' move in ways which defy the laws of physics(gravity) I have seen unusual bursts of speed, very rapid then quickly slowing.
Sorry guys I really am letting down the side not capturing some of this stuff. Thumbs down for me  :thumbsdown |

| Yesterday coming home from Blenheim we saw one cloud in an otherwise cloudless sky, it looked like a dissipating chemtrail, it was significant in that it was rainbow coloured.I have been looking at clouds for 45years and have never seen anything like it before. We first saw it over the Richmond Ranges from Okaramio, and by the time we got to Canvastown it had moved north over the sounds and then it kept moving out of sight. It held its weird rainbow colours the whole time. :? |
