Kia ora koutou
Clear start to the day. Some rain clouds mid morning -spotted a persistent trail above them - cleared by early avo. There were a mixture of trails today - short, long, wide, twisting ... I got excited to see and capture a persistent trail doing a roller-coaster impersonation or was the pilot DIC?? The first time I have seen this before.
Taken at 3:17pm ... facing west from lower Pelorus Valley. I used a cheap pair of sunnies to filter some glare.
Taken at 3:15pm ... facing west ... close up of north end going over hills.
Taken at 3:19pm ... facing west ... this point in the trail like an explosion of ice (in respect to saturation) ...
Taken at 4:34pm ... facing west
crop and darkened ...

Hi Pychosis Agent
My camera is a little Kodak - 3.2 mega pixels and 3x zoom (which I don't use much - lose definition - I prefer to crop and enlarge). I don't have a memory card or a tripod ... (I wish :-))
I believe the photo captured is what the 'shooter' sees - really sees. Not so much detail - but the asthetic attributes of what's in the view finder. Also, if you take a lot of photos then some have to be good, eh?
Thanks for the positive comments. :-)
What do you think of the first image ... I've not seen this before. Anyone else??? |

yeah, ruapaka, i have seen jets do course-changes like this, several times, maybe five or six
the question arises, whether it is usual for commercial jets to do course corrections like this, and they just aren't noticeable without the obscene chemtrails, or whether there is an attenpt here, to spread the chemicals
my feeling is the latter
one day, one of us will end up in a conversation with a sympathetic ex-pilot, and much will be explained............ |

NIce work, thats one idea that I havent tried, a lot of the action I see requires shots which are often spoiled by sun glare, that cheap alternative worked well. |
