Hi everyone,

This week we will be migrating Mysterious NZ to a new server. We will be endeavouring to make the transition as smooth as possible, however, we may expect some disruptions and some possible downtime.

We may elect to temporarily lock the forums so that no posting can occur during the migration process and to ensure that the most up to date information is guaranteed on the new server. It may also be necessary to close the Photo Gallery for a period of time.

As you will be aware we have allowed the previous SSL certificate to expire in anticipation of the server move. We are considering withdrawing the SSL certificate and returning the site to a straight 'http' environment. If this happens, you will need to access the forums using this URL:

https://www.mysteriousnewzealand.co.nz/forums

If you have the forums bookmarked, be sure to check which you are using and make the necessary changes.

If anyone has any questions you are welcome to email us for further information or if you are having problems accessing the site which you may feel are not connnected with the move. Please also notify us if you notice any failures in the system, once we are back up and running.

UPDATE:

Thanks for all the enquiries about the status of our server migration.

Well, as tends to be the way with these things, the migration process is taking a lot longer than we had hoped with some expected issues resulting from the server move.

We are currently working on resolving some functionality issues and hope to have the forums etc up and running by the middle of next week at the latest.

UPDATE:

All going well in the final stages, we hope to have the forums back operating again tomorrow mid-morning when we go live. There may be one or two things that need sorting once the site is live again, however, if anyone notices any oddities persisting beyond the first part of Wednesday, please let us know.

The gallery will be unavailable for a time and will be password protected.

PS: A reminder to everyone to update their browsers bookmarks or favourites to ensure that the s is removed from the URL. The address should be:

If you are trying to access the site using a URL still containing https at the front, you may receive a 'page not found error'.
