Walk around your house uninvited?
I just walked into my kitchen and my flatmate pointed out the window and 2 cops are walking around our house. Our kitchen is right at the back of the house yet the front door was open and there is a doorbell. They asked my flatmate if so and so lived here (he doesnt, never heard of him) and then they left.

Why didnt they just knock on the front door instead of walking past it while it was open and having a big "nosey" around the place?

They split before I could confront them about what they were up to...

Bastards. I find this suspicious....

Perhaps they were sniffing around on the off chance of coming across someone doing something suspicious...

Azimuth would have been the one to give a definitive answer as to the ins and outs, having been in the force himself...
