The substance being released from military aircraft is called "chaff" and started being used during World War II to jam enemy radar. Chaff is used today and is mentioned openly in many reports. Chaff has been sprayed upon us in military exercises since the 1940s.
According to the military’s paper "Defensive Training Initiative," chaff contains; glass fiber (silica), aluminum, calcium oxide, magnesium oxide, sodium and potassium oxide, iron oxide, aluminum coating, silicon + iron, copper, manganese, zinc, vanadium, titanium and "other."
Chaff is a health hazard if inhaled, ingested or absorbed through the skin.
The components of chaff are nasty stuff, but chaff is a red herring here, isn't it?
... unless you are suggesting that the trails coming from the bombers and fighters in the WWII photos is chaff?
Are you suggesting that the video you referred to at the top of this topic shows military aircraft trailing chaff?
What about the trails we sometimes see over Nelson, Marlborough and Wellington?

OK so Hector you wanted to know if what I was suggesting about Chaff....First of did I think that WW2 trails were chaff spray?
WW2 fuel was heavily lead based and so would probably make lovely thick chemtrails spreding and lasting for days. Mixed with all the chaff floating around in the atmosphere I'm positive that innocent contrailscould become a little more sinister. However in those days they didn't spray it and have special cutters as it went as they do today. They used to throw it out of the plane I have read... glad I didn't have that job! So no I don't think the trails were chaff being sprayed. I do think it was probably a variety of factors that caused chem to linger for up to a week. Amongst all the other stuff that was being sprayed at the time on the unwitting public.
In the video do I think that it chaff being sprayed by military aircraft? No I can see that these are commercial planes doing their runs. However who is to say that the night before Military planes didn't go up there and spray? and there is a residue in the atmosphere. Who knows... They certainly spray alot of the stuff all over the world.
The trails over Nelson, Marlborough and Wellington? Again nothing would surprise me. Betty Rowes account is a good indicator of what is in the Chemtrails around her island if that helps. I will put it on the next post as I keep copying and pasting it and losing my post. This is attempt number three!
Being a sceptic as you clearly are, a citizens mere visual or verbal account doesn't count for much in your mind I know. So you can take her observations anyway you like. She did luckily get the sample anyalysed.....

MNZ: We have an analysis here from Agriquality New Zealand on some samples that you sent to them via a friend and it shows us high levels of Aluminium, Barium and traces of Bromine. So what were the samples, what was the nature of the samples that you sent to the lab?
BR: These little filaments that collect on the fenceposts and on the fence wires and things, they’re sometimes all over the place, they’re in the sheds, they’re everywhere. They‘re in corners, you know places where dust and webs do collect, there’s no doubt about that. But these are different, they’re not cobwebs, they’re not circular like cobwebs, they’re in little sort of squares or rectangles and all sort of joined together. Some of them can be quite large, the size of maybe an envelope, a small envelope, or they can just be a few strands. But they’re very long. Some of them are very long and just like a great big long thread of this white stuff. So I just went around with a clean cotton bud and collected them and put them in a syringe that I had, without the needle of course, because it was clean, I had got it from the vet and put them in there and sent them off. They were just collected on the fence down here in front of the house.

WW2 fuel was high octane petrol, modern jet fuel is basically kerosene
many reports exist of these strange polymer-like filaments associated with chemtrails
analysis of the residue from aircon filters shows a massive jump in barium and aluminium, from around the time chemtrails started to become impossible to ignore, except for people who are afraid to adjust their paradigms, or who have their noses deep in the trough
