Yep, The same thing occured over east Wellington / Kapati coast starting early arvo.
Sometimes, i have found, it is possible to tell if trails will be present or not by observing the state of the sky throughout the day.
If there seems to be 'tension' in the sky present, ie strained looking cirrus and sylph like things, often trails will accompany this etheric / atmospheric condition.
Keep up the good work... |

and the next day .... 29 Feb
The early morning low cloud coming and going - revealing sky streaked with cirrus forms. Got that oily look that Steve mentioned - rainbow coloured patches usually seen with this type of skyscape.
The cirrus look like they are vibrating ?? I think they turned it on again this morning Secondfield.
Here's a couple of images from this morning

I'll update later - got a trip to Blenheim - get to see more sky and less cloud predicted for the east. |

NIce pics ruapeka, keep up the good work!!
The presence of sylph-like clouds and chemtrails often seem to go hand and hand. I have seen many cases of persistant trails running in short lines through this type of cloud, literally 'sending it packing' .
Dont worry though, these unusual clouds are probably just a bunch of higher life forms, which have travelled light years, trying to make contact with us, only the powers that be have mistaken them for some sort of ethereal blowfly and modified their Raid formula accordingly 8) |

Thanks for the encouraging words Deano. Feel good stuff - cheers! :D
I agree that sylph like formations and persistent trails are often seen together. I have found the heaviest trail days are usually when there are no clouds. By heaviest I mean many persistent, thick spreading plumage banding with other trails to form a light to heavy haze.
Noticed the latest BMW ad? The sky scenery is eerie, out-of -this-world look. Very much the same sort of sky as in images above. |
