anyone else spot anything interesting about this Coke ad (aired during the recent superbowl), at about the 46/47 sec mark?

Yep,
Mainstream media is riddled with them. A Shrek movie has them in abundance. Getting us and our kiddies used to the idea. Even seen them on billboards and goddam watermarks on the corners of some sky tv channels. The comments for that vid are pathetic. Grrrrr. |

Well,
The buggers got onto us fast then eh.
It was working last night. Youll just have to rent the movie, unless youve got a copy at home.... |

Which might also lead you to the conclusion that that page hasn't actually been online since some time in 2006. Are you sure it was there when you looked the other night secondfield?
Also, drawing a pretty long bow to call those chemtrails, aren't they? |

yes, I tend to agree. I suspect though, that the poster featured in the link isn't a satisfactory representation of what secondfield suggests appears throughout the movie... |

Yep,
Saw them there allright, unless the MAC went into timewarp mode. Perhaps they were cached... I also remember visiting the same site back when this discussion was first posted on MNZ ... (see Carus's comment).
Drawing a pretty long bow? you obviously can tell the difference.
The point being made, is that they are becoming more prevalent 'subtly' in the mainstream media. Also seen in alot of kid's 'programs' and movies. This is to get everyone used to seeing them and not questioning their prescence and associated enviromental implications.
Come on mate! they were always there..... harmless condensation..wern't they Zaphod... remember ... back in the 80's...
They dont call them TV 'programs' for nothing you know. |

Yep and as Carus said above, especially it seems, in British programs.
Another thing I have noticed that from time to time a camera operator seems to take a particular interest in the contrails occurring in shot, sometimes following them. I remember a documentary we saw about David Hockney... The scene was shot someone in LA and taken from a car travelling along a street filming houses etc, with a voiceover from Hockney discussing something or other (not relevant to the footage, other than this is the area in which he was now living and driving through). There were many trails in the background and the cameraman seemed to spot them and change his perspective, aiming more at the sky as the camera rolled along, glimpsing the trails above the homes in the foreground. |

Front page cartoon in the "DominionPost", 11 March 2008.
... and is the Dominion Post joining in with this 'conditioning' that contrails are normal?
The other weekend I watched Shrek 2 (again) with my grandchildren. We didn't see any contrails in the movie. C'mon; which scenes? |
